Question
How is Avaya Contact Center Express licensed?
Response
There are now three license types available for Contact Center Express. These are 'CCE IVR', 'CCE Voice' and 'CCE Multimedia'.
A CCE IVR license is required for each IVR port that is to be monitored by the CCE IVR Server providing CTI information and capability between the Avaya switching platform and Avaya IVR's or third party IVR's. This license may be purchased using Avaya product code:
186041 - CONTACT CENTER EXPRESS R2.0 IVR PORT LIC:CU
The CCE Voice license is required by all voice related applications such as Agent, Supervisor, Assistant. This license is used per concurrent running application. In addition to the desktop applications, CCE Voice licenses will be consumed by the Call Routing Server where this is implemented. The Call Routing Server will consume one license per VDN that is being monitored. One CCE Voice License is also consumed per client application connected to XML Server. This license may be purchased using Avaya product code:
186038 - CONTACT CENTER EXPRESS R2.0 VOICE AGENT LIC:CU
The CCE MultiMedia license is required by the Media Client application and licenses the application to use all media types available, Email, Preview Contact and Web Chat. This license is used per concurrent running application. The Media Client application must work in conjunction with the Agent application on the same PC, so the purchase of one item the following product code will actually provide a bundle of one CCE Voice license and one CCE MultiMedia license I.e. licensing for one complete Multimedia functional desktop. This license may be purchased using Avaya product code:
